APPLE ROLY POLY PUDDING
| 1 cup flour |
2 apples, peeled and diced |
| 1 ½ Tbs butter |
¾ cup sugar |
| 1 ½ tsp baking powder |
1 cup water |
| ¼ cup milk |
1 Tbs golden syrup |
Pre heat oven to 180 deg Celsius.
- Measure the flour and baking powder into a medium size bowl. Rub the butter into the flour until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.
- Add the milk, mixing to a stiff dough.
- Roll out the dough to a large rectangle shape. (not too thinly).
- Peel and dice the apples into small squares and layer on to the dough.
- Roll up the dough from the long edge and then place in an oven proof dish. Partially cut through dough into slices.
- Mix together the sugar, golden syrup, and boiling water and then pour over the roll.
- Cook for about 1 hour in a moderate oven.
