Delicious Fruit Crumble
| 4-8 apples or any other fruit |
1 cup of flour |
| 1½ cups rolled oats |
125g butter |
| ½ to ¾ cup of sugar |
1tsp cinnamon |
Put the oven on to heat at 180 deg Celsius
- Peel the apples
- Cut apples into quarters and place into a saucepan of water
- Bring apples to the boil, then simmer until soft
- Strain any excess juice from apples and pour them into a deep dish
- Measure all of the dry ingredients then put them into a bowl
- Add chopped butter to dry ingredients
- Use your fingers to knead the mixture until it is crumbly like breadcrumbs
- Sprinkle ‘crumble’ topping over the apples, place in oven, cook at 180 degrees Celsius, until golden brown
- Remove apple crumble from oven and serve with yoghurt or custard
