Delicious Fruit Crumble

4-8 apples or any other fruit 1 cup of flour
1½ cups rolled oats 125g butter
½ to ¾ cup of sugar 1tsp cinnamon

          Put the oven on to heat at 180 deg Celsius

  • Peel the apples
  • Cut apples into quarters and place into a saucepan of water
  • Bring apples to the boil, then simmer until soft
  • Strain any excess juice from apples and pour them into a deep dish
  • Measure all of the dry ingredients then put them into a bowl
  • Add chopped butter to dry ingredients
  • Use your fingers to knead the mixture until it is crumbly like breadcrumbs
  • Sprinkle ‘crumble’ topping over the apples, place in oven, cook at 180 degrees Celsius, until golden brown
  • Remove apple crumble from oven and serve with yoghurt or custard
