The show will focus on community news and current events, it’s tagline is: ‘Your stories, your voice’

The team are asking the public for any story suggestions – they can email them to brent_journo@hotmail.com

A few quotes from the Metro News team:

Kimberley Vinnell: “That’s exactly what we aim to do; be the voice of the public, tell their stories and get the information that affects them.  It’s also a perfect opportunity for Cantabrians to voice their opinions to a wide audience.”

Scarlett Civitanovich: “The most important part of a community news programme is the community.  So we are asking for any ideas they may have – any upcoming events, any issues the feel passionately about; basically, if there is a bee in your bonnet, we want to hear about it.”

Nina Burton: “I don’t think people are exposed to enough community news and as a consequence they are naive about community issues.  Hopefully we can turn that around a bit.”
