Quick Wholemeal Bread

1 Tbs Honey 4 cups white flour
2 cups boiling water 4 cups wholemeal flour
2 cups cold milk 1 Tbs wheatgerm
1 Tbs dried yeast 3 tsp salt

 

  • Melt honey in boiling water
  • Add cold milk and sprinkle yeast over top. Leave to bubble
  • Mix dry ingredients in another bowl
  • Add the liquids to the dry ingredients and mix well
  • Put into 2 large loaf tins and one small one if necessary
  • Place in a cold oven and turn it to 100 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes, then turn it to 190 degrees Celsius for a further 1 hour
  • Take out and leave 5 – 10 minutes before turning out
